Deep tissue now is a mix of deep and superficial techniques with firm pressure. The lighter strokes effect to relax, warm and prepare the tissues before the deeper techniques are applied. Manipulation is a manual therapy technique comprising a continuum of skilled passive movements to joints and/or related soft tissues that are applied at varying speeds and amplitudes, including a small amplitude/high velocity therapeutic movement.
Joint mobilisations or articulations are a type of passive movement of a skeletal joint. It is usually aimed at a 'target' joint with the aim of achieving a therapeutic effect. Mobilisations are commonly used, hands on technique that aim to address joint stiffness and pain. It helps to increase the range of motion and to reduce the muscular tone surrounding the affected joint.

Medical Acupuncture (Dry Needling) involves inserting fine needles for a therapeutic effect of muscular pain relief. Overall, it is an adaptation of the Chinese method just using modern up-to-date knowledge of anatomy and physiology. Medical Acupuncturists no longer conform to the notion of Ying and Yang. However, we do aim to create homeostasis within the body.

KT has grown in popularity and is now a vital tool in rehabilitation and management of musculoskeletal injuries and conditions. So the basic mechanisms of KT are; stimulation of proprioceptors/mechanoreceptors, lifting skin to create an area of low pressure and gentle reposition of tissues (mulligan/myofascial release theories).
Kinesiology Taping, not offering in my services as a main individual therapy but as additional to Sports Massage if needed.
